Hints & tips
Make gluten free - Make this suitable for a gluten free diet by replacing the crusty bread with toasted gluten free bread or your favourite gluten free crackers.
Brie tips
-
No need for fancy brie; choose a basic one. We're ditching the rind and amping up the flavour with the balsamic topping.
-
Peel cold brie for easier removal of the rind without losing too much cheese.
-
Let the brie reach room temperature before blending, just like you would with butter in a cake recipe, for smooth and easy whipping.
-
Blend the brie patiently; it will start off stiff, but after about 4 minutes in the mixer, it will become light and pillowy.
-
Camembert would be a good alternative if brie isn’t available.
Serving suggestion - Serve this delicious platter at a festive gathering or as a starter. Pairs perfectly with a cold glass of bubbles!
