Quick Cook Garlic Honey Chicken Breast
This chicken breast recipe is very easy to make. It’s juicy and so delicious. This honey garlic chicken breast is cooked in one pan and the recipe takes only 15 minutes.

Ingredients
- 4 medium chicken breasts, pounded to ½ inch thickness
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1/2 cup (65g) flour
- 6 tablespoons butter, divided
- 1.5 tbsp crushed garlic
- 6 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 4 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- • Spring onion, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Pat chicken dry with a paper towel and use a sharp knife to make 4-5 cross- cuts, making sure not to cut all the way through the chicken.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Coat each breast with flour.
- In a large pan, melt 3 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
- Place floured chicken in the pan and cook over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden on both sides and cooked all the way through.
- When chicken is golden on both sides, remove from the pan and set aside.
- Add 3 tablespoons of butter and crushed garlic to the pan and cook for 1 minute. Add honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar.
- Place the chicken back in the pan and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 1-2 minutes, until slightly thickened.
- Turn off the heat and sprinkle with chopped spring onion.
Hints & tips
- Chicken breasts can vary in size and shape. For this recipe, the breasts need to be ½ inch thick. If you have large breasts, it might be easier to slice them in half widthways before making the criss-cross pattern.
- The criss-cross pattern helps with the cooking process and also allows the sauce to cover more of the breast, giving maximum flavour.
- Use gluten free flour or cornflour to make this suitable for a gluten free diet.
